    Are you an energetic, caring educator who loves working with toddlers? The Goddard School of Collegeville is looking for a passionate and creative Lead Teacher to guide, teach and care for our Young Toddler (Pre-Toddler) classroom, serving children ages 18 to 24 months. As a Lead Teacher, you'll create a nurturing, play-based learning environment that encourages curiosity, confidence, and early development using Goddard's proprietary curriculum while incorporating your own creativity and ideas!

    Plan and lead fun, age-appropriate activities

    Build strong, loving bonds with your toddlers

    Collaborate with a dedicated and supportive teaching team

    Communicate with families to share milestones and progress

    Assess progress and participate in one-on-one conferences with families

    Lead Teacher Key Responsibilities:

    Curriculum and Instruction:

    Implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities using Goddard's proprietary curriculum

    Foster a love of learning through creative and engaging teaching methods

    Observe and assess children's development and adjust activities accordingly

    Classroom Management:

    Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment

    Manage daily routines and transitions smoothly

    Address behavioral issues with positive guidance and support

    Family Communication:

    Maintain open and effective communication with parents/guardians regarding their child's progress and daily activities (both in writing and verbally)

    Conduct parent-teacher conferences and provide regular updates

    Encourage family involvement and participation in school activities

    Health and Safety:

    Ensure the cleanliness and orderliness of the classroom and common areas

    Adhere to all health and safety guidelines and procedures

    Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities to ensure their safety and well-being

    Professional Development:

    Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities

    Stay current with best practices in early childhood education

    Collaborate with other teachers and staff to share ideas and strategies

    Qualifications:

    High school diploma required; associate or bachelor's in Early Childhood Education preferred

    Child Development Associate (CDA) preferred

    2-4 years of previous experience working with young children in a licensed childcare or preschool setting preferred

    Develops relationships and communicate effectively with children, parents, and faculty members

    Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children
