Toddler Teacher – The Learning Experience Hudson Yards

Pay: $22–$27 per hour (based on education and experience) Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday

About The Learning Experience

The Learning Experience – Hudson Yards is seeking a nurturing, creative, and dedicated Toddler Teacher to join our passionate early childhood education team. Our toddler classrooms provide a joyful and engaging environment that encourages exploration, independence, and discovery.

If you have an Associate degree in Early Childhood Education, CDA, or 5+ years of childcare experience, we’d love to meet you!

Key Responsibilities

Curriculum & Lesson Implementation

Implement an age-appropriate curriculum that supports developmental milestones.

Incorporate sensory play, music, language development, and hands-on learning.

Adapt activities based on individual child needs and interests.

Developmental Support

Encourage growth in language, motor skills, emotional regulation, and independence.

Guide appropriate social interactions and model positive behavior.

Support self-help skills including feeding, dressing, and toileting.

Communication & Classroom Management

Build strong, trusting relationships with children and families.

Provide daily updates to parents regarding meals, naps, and activities.

Maintain a clean, organized, and engaging classroom environment that promotes exploration and learning.

Qualifications

Associate degree or higher in Early Childhood Education (ECE), or CDA credential, or 5 years of professional experience with a high school diploma.

At least 6 months of classroom teaching experience (1+ year preferred).

Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices (DAP).

CPR and First Aid certification preferred.

Must meet all New York State childcare licensing requirements.
