    Mindlink is seeking a dedicated and culturally responsive Tongan Translator to support written translation projects across a variety of subject areas. We work with Educational/Local Gov/Other Non-Profit Clients based in Washington/Oregon. US-based candidates are a client requirement; translators based in Washington and Oregon states are strongly preferred. We are looking for a translator who is available to work on an urgent request for the City of Portland Parks and Rec.

    Key Responsibilities

    Provide accurate and culturally appropriate translations while meeting client deadlines.

    Follow client-specific style guides, glossaries, and terminology.

    Communicate clearly with the Mindlink team regarding availability, questions, or clarifications.

    Revise translations based on feedback when required.

    Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional ethics.

    Qualifications

    Native-level fluency in Tongan .

    Minimum 3 years of professional translation experience.

    Excellent time management and attention to detail

    Ability to quickly learn and use new softwares; experience with CAT tools strongly preferred.

    Ability to follow instructions, style guides, and quality standards.

    Professional Development
