    This full-time, hourly Tool & Die Repair role is part of our Tooling Department and reports to the Tool Room Supervisor at our Belleville Plant 2, in Belleville, MI.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished sample, sequence of operations and set up requirements of machine tools and equipment.

    • Make new details from prints or duplicates from existing details.

    • Measures, marks, and scribes metal stock for machining

    • Set up, operate, and become proficient on all tool room equipment including lathe, drill press, conventional milling machine (Bridgeport), and surface grinder.

    • Bench (stone) die details to high polish.

    • Smooths flat and contoured surfaces to fit and assemble parts together into assemblies and mechanisms.

    • Verifies dimensions, alignments, and clearances.

    • Determine specifications for inspection of work, using full range of precision measuring and gauging tools to perform inspection before, during and after machining.

    • Perform hand operations involved in producing jigs, fixtures, tools, and dies.

    • Willing to attend required classes and schooling needed to complete the training process.

    • Performs all duties and operates machinery & equipment according to MIOSHA standards and company procedures using required safety equipment (gloves, sleeves, ear plugs, etc.).

    Required experience:

    Ability to work with the following tools:

    • Micrometers
    • Calipers
    • Scales
    • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
    • 2-3yrs. related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience.

  • Qualifications
    • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred, with a minimum of 7-10 years of professional services management experience. Within a creative agency environment preferred
    • Proven experience building strong, cohesive and high performing teams through effective motivation and coaching methods
    • Strong project management experience with broad technology understanding
    • Proven experience leading, developing and training staff
    • Enthusiasm, aptitude, organizational skills and a willingness to learn
    • Strong reasoning and problem-solving skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to interact with client and team members in a professional and respectful manner
    • Expert knowledge of MS Office programs including Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
