  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    Performs functions to assist in the preventive maintenance and upkeep of extrusion tooling to include extrusion dies, calibrators, templates, water tanks and all associative parts.

    Job Requirements:

    • Maintain extrusion tooling (i.e. dies, calibrators, templates, etc.).
    • Operation of ultrasonic cleaner
    • Proficient in calibration polishing
    • Proficient in calibrator assembly
    • Working knowledge of the extrusion process
    • Working knowledge of miscellaneous equipment used in the extrusion process
    • Knowledge and identification of profiles extruded
    • Working knowledge of scheduling
    • Operation of forklift
    • Walk / stand for 8 hours a day and lift up to 35 pounds

    Main Responsibilities:

    • Assemble and set-up miscellaneous tooling required for extrusion
    • Polish calibrators and templates
    • Maintain and organize extrusion tooling and miscellaneous parts
    • Preventive maintenance and repair of extrusion tooling
    • Work with supervisors as required in priorities
    • Ensure safety, quality and good housekeeping

    Additional Responsibilities:

    • Train others as required
    • Assist maintenance as required
    • As directed by manager / supervisor

    • Knowledge of profiles

    • Ability to communicate professionally on extrusion requirements and scheduling

    • Good attendance and must be willing and able to work overtime as required

    • Work well with others as part of a team
