Tooling Supervisor

A medical device manufacturer is hiring a Tooling Supervisor to drive excellence in its tooling function. You'll lead a team of 4 or more technicians, keeping extrusion tooling running smoothly and production on schedule. What you'll be doing

• Schedule and perform tool cleaning, inspection, and preventative maintenance for all extrusion tooling
• Manage work assignments and coach the team on standard work and best practices
• Troubleshoot, repair, and improve tooling to meet production and customer needs
• Identify and maintain critical spare parts inventory to prevent production disruptions
• Partner with operations and engineering to improve tooling processes
• Train tooling technicians and supervise attendance and teamwork for adequate coverage

About you

• Be able to do the job as described
• Comfortable interpreting sketches, blueprints, and shop drawings for others
• Able to make decisions and lead others in a fast-paced environment with some ambiguity
• Tool room or maintenance supervisory background a plus
• Medical device manufacturing experience a plus
