Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Tooling Technician / Maintenance professional to support production by ensuring all machinery and equipment are operating efficiently. This role is responsible for preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs across a manufacturing environment, helping minimize downtime and maintain high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM) on machinery per manufacturer specifications
- Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems, injection molding machines, and tooling
- Maintain and repair robotic and auxiliary equipment
- Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, and plumbing issues plant-wide
- Fabricate or repair parts using metalworking equipment (welding, cutting, drilling, milling)
- Coordinate with equipment manufacturers and vendors for technical support and parts sourcing
- Maintain spare parts inventory and ensure timely ordering of necessary components
- Document all maintenance activities, repairs, and PMs
- Assist with tool preventative maintenance as needed
- Operate forklifts and overhead cranes safely
- Support continuous production by minimizing downtime
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience (injection molding preferred)
- Strong troubleshooting skills with injection molding machines and tooling
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
- Experience with hydraulics, robotics, and mechanical systems
- Forklift and overhead crane experience preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
