Title: Head of Sales
Location: White Plains NY
Company: Startup artificial larynx device, that helps patients regain natural sounding voice after a total laryngectomy.
Responsibilities:
This is a true startup position, where this role starts as an individual contributor and evolves into a critical leadership role in charge of establishing sales channels, marketing, reimbursements, and market access in the US.
- Lead primary commercial (sales, market access, KOL engagement, education) activities in the United States.
- Work closely with the leadership team to develop the entire sales process for driving revenue.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive distribution strategy for artificial larynx devices to maximize sales opportunities.
- Conduct strategic oversight and analysis of reimbursement pathways for artificial larynx devices (coding, payment, and coverage trends).
- Lead the execution of initial reimbursement process to capture top US hospitals and clinics in the laryngectomy care domain.
- Establish first sales team in the United States (recruitment, onboarding, development).
- Structural organization of the sales teams in terms of assigned areas and products.
- Develop a strong network of Key Opinion Leaders (top head and neck surgeons, speech-language pathologists) in the US to partner with the company.
- Develop Implement strategies for presenting devices to Key Opinion Leaders through trials and educational seminars and receiving their endorsements.
- Drive targeted marketing activities for product awareness.
- Promote a complete line of artificial larynx devices, from the minimum viable product to full-scale products.
- Represent company at conferences, seminars, and meetings in the laryngectomy care domain.
- Collaborate with Product Team in refining product specifications and conducting iterative competitor analysis.
- Interact with end-users (laryngectomy people/speech-language pathologists), provide insights to the leadership, and collaborate with the Product Team to incorporate the insights into the design of products.
Requirements:
- 8-10 years of sales experience, including 3-5 years management.
- Experience in speech pathology and/or laryngectomy care domains in the US market.
- 2-3 years in reimbursement strategy development and implementation for medical devices in US hospitals.
- A Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- The position requires travel to hospitals and health care facilities across the United States.
- The position requires direct interactions with patients. Following health protocols during such interactions is a must.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Clinical qualifications and experience are a plus.
- Must be able to commute to the office in White Plains NY to work with team and Founders.
Compensation:
Base salary between 120-150k depending on experience and commission plans. Commission will be 15-20% on all new business. Plus medical benefits and future options for 401k and equity.
