The Cycle Counter plays a crucial role in maintaining the accuracy of our inventory and ensuring that our manufacturing operations have the materials they need to operate smoothly. This role involves regularly auditing inventory levels, identifying discrepancies, and collaborating with various teams to resolve issues. As a Cycle Counter, you will contribute to our commitment to quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Auditing:
- Conduct regular cycle counts of materials, components, and supplies within the manufacturing facility.
- Verify physical inventory against electronic records to identify discrepancies and inaccuracies.
Discrepancy Resolution:
- Investigate and document the root causes of inventory discrepancies.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as Material Coordinators and Warehouse staff, to resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
Data Accuracy:
- Ensure that inventory data in the system is up-to-date and accurate.
- Update inventory records to reflect the results of cycle counts and adjustments.
Reporting:
- Generate and communicate reports on inventory accuracy and discrepancies to management.
- Provide insights and recommendations for process improvements.
Process Compliance:
- Adhere to company policies and procedures related to inventory control.
- Support efforts to maintain inventory accuracy in compliance with regulatory and industry standards.
Continuous Improvement:
- Actively participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance inventory accuracy and efficiency.
- Suggest improvements to cycle counting procedures and practices.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in inventory management is a plus.
- Proven experience in cycle counting, inventory control, or related roles, preferably in an automotive manufacturing setting.
- Familiarity with inventory management software and systems.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
