Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

Under the supervision of the Site Manager, the academic support instructor is responsible for reinforcing education by leading a variety of activities and games, working with parents, helping students understand homework and curriculum. Support is to occur in a large room with up to 3 students. This “pod” of students is meant to be static and not change over time. Everyone in the pod is required to follow safety precautions during the session.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

· Monitor the academic strengths and weaknesses of each student

· Utilize a variety of activities, games and tools to reinforce each student’s skills

· Be warm and nurturing with students

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

· Preschool experience

· Creative

· Computer savvy

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

· Must be able to sit for extended periods of time

· Frequently required to talk and listen

· Must be able to regularly use repetitive wrist/hand/finger movement to work on computer and/or related office equipment
