Their bread and butter are Dry Van and Refrigerated freight, but they also move Flatbed, and Intermodal freight as well.

    Job Purpose:

    In the role, you will attain customer account growth and business development while achieving maximum sales profitability, by effectively selling the company’s brokerage service. Personally, contacts and secures new business accounts and customers. Initiates and/or implements corrective action needed in order to ensure that our client's standard of service and a high level of customer satisfaction are maintained. This position reports to and coordinates with the Director of Sales.

    Core Functions:

    1) Promotes/sells/secures new orders from prospective customers through a relationship-based approach focusing on selling core services, the primary objective of growing revenue.

    2) Ensures and provides quality service to both internal and external customers.

    3) Defines services to potential customers and assists them in selecting those best suited to their needs, staying relevant and forward-thinking to satisfy all logistic solutions.

    4) Collaborate with Account Manager to ensure the existing customer base is maintained properly and prevent accounts from becoming inactive, by maintaining relationships through regular involvement.

    5) Stay informed of market conditions, competitive activities, advertising, and promotional trends through the reading of pertinent literature and ongoing lead prospecting.

    Details of Functions:

    • Responsible for achieving weekly goals and KPIs

    • Make telephone calls and in-person visits and presentations to prospective customers; utilize management team when needed

    • Develop new sales revenue opportunities via inactive and active accounts

    • Research sources for developing new customers; determining qualified prospects

    • Develop clear and effective written proposals/quotations for prospective customers

    • Meet minimum sales activity requirements and track all activities in CRM

    • Coordinate sales efforts with all other departments and maintain updated communication within our CRM

    • Supply management with oral and written updates within CRM for all customer needs, problems, and competitive activities, and track potential for new customers and services
