Logistics Sales Executive - Houston, TX (On-Site)
As a Sales Executive, you will directly generate revenue and drive new business by growing and
developing your sales funnel, building relationships, and closing sales. You will also work
collaboratively with internal personnel and management to support the customers you bring to
the organization operationally. You understand the key to success requires persistence,
resilience, being proactive, and a strong desire to not only meet but exceed their goals.
Responsibilities
• Drive revenue by onboarding new clients
• Build relationships with prospective clients
• Maintain consistent contact with existing clients
• Analyze the market and establish competitive advantages
• Conduct pricing, rate negotiations and manage RFPs
• Track metrics to ensure targets are hit
• Maintain open communication with the operations team
• Analyze client's supply chains for ways to expand service offerings
• Actively generates new sales leads converting them to revenue generating
accounts
• Travel as needed
Qualifications
• 4+ years in 3PL/Logistics/freight brokerage sales
• Experience in full sales cycle including deal closing
• Strong negotiation skills
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Runs to problems, not away from them. Meaning you’re looking to create
awareness and work as a partner with customers and carriers to craft solutions.
• Ability to work independently -- self-motivated, Self-starter
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Good understanding of operations preferred
• Bachelor's degree preferred
