    Job Description:

    This company is a leading pharmacy partner specializing in improving communication and supplying pharmaceuticals and services, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Inventory Specialist to join our dynamic team. The Senior Inventory Analyst will collect and analyze data on the organization’s logistics and inventory functions. This data will be used to identify inefficiencies and cost-cutting opportunities and to implement improvements across the distribution network.

    Responsibilities:

    • Collects, interprets, and analyzes various types of logistics data including the availability of product, reliability of transport and delivery, and other data related to product supply chain management, sourcing, and distribution.
    • Tracks product flow from origin to delivery via web-based logistics systems and other appropriate methods of monitoring inventory and shipment vehicles.
    • eviews inventory processes and procedures; identifies, recommends, and implements improvements to maximize delivery efficiency while minimizing costs.
    • Reviews and analyzes transportation costs, procurement and delivery processes, inventory issues such as back orders, and other fulfillment metrics.
    • Uses analytic methods and tools to understand, predict, and/or control inventory operations and processes.
    • Monitors facilities to evaluate inventory transactions such as receiving, storage, shipping, and inventory integrity.
    • Plan, implement, and measure outcomes of companywide projects that effect inventory and logistics of pharmacies.
    • Performs other related duties, as assigned.

    Physical Demands:

    • The physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
    • Sitting for extended periods of time, computer usage including data entry for much of the workday, regular phone communication, handling paperwork and documentation, and participating in meetings. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in finance, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field and 3-5 years of inventory management and analysis experience; or an equivalent mix of education and experience. Ability to handle escalated issues with diplomacy and professionalism a must. Pharmacy experience preferred.
    • Computer Skills: Intermediate computer proficiency. Knowledge of medical inventory software and industry regulations required. Pharmacy and medication distribution software (EMAR, Pyxis Medbank, Frameworks preferred.
    • Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as medication documentation, business correspondence and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and business correspondence; ability to speak effectively, both in person and by telephone, to customers or employees of the organization.
    • Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs; ability to understand and interpret statistical reports, data charts and graphs.
