    The Role

    We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Full-stack Engineer with a strong focus on back-end development to join our growing team. As a Full-stack Engineer, you will contribute to the entire software development lifecycle, working both on front-end and back-end technologies to build and scale innovative web applications. Your primary responsibility will be to design, develop, and maintain the server-side components of our applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal performance and seamless user experiences.

    What Success Looks Like

    • Collaborate with stakeholders, product managers, and front-end developers to define, implement, and iterate on the back-end architecture
    • Write clean, efficient, and scalable code, utilizing industry best practices and design patterns
    • Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability, constantly monitoring and improving performance
    • Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to other team members and ensuring code quality and adherence to coding standards
    • Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
    • Implement and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure the reliability of the software
    • Troubleshoot and debug issues in production and non-production environments, proactively identifying and resolving potential bottlenecks
    • Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies, continuously improving technical skills and knowledge, and sharing best practices with the team

    What We Value

    • B.S. degree in computer science or related field required
    • 5+ years of proven work experience as a full-stack engineer
    • Demonstrable experience with Apache Nifi, Kafka, Trino
    • Experience with ELT, ETL, and APIs
    • Analysis of the product to determine the end points as per the requirements
    • Well-versed with docker
    • Hands on experience on GIT
    • Experience working with and deploying and managing commercial cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, & GCE
    • Knowledge on ETL, ELT focusing on mapping
    • Good to have experience with NiFi-supported scripting languages and writing regular expressions
    • Experience creating custom NiFi processors
    • Well versed in Java
    • Full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) experience
    • Work well within a formal team structure and with minimal supervision
    • Comfortable working outside and inside (25%/75%) classified environments
    • This position REQUIRES an active TS/SCI. TS/SCI with CI Poly is preferred

    • This job operates in state-of-the-art, professional office environment
    • You will be expected to work out of Torch.AI's Leawood, KS office; limited hybrid/remote days may occasionally be available
