Torch & Crown Brewing Company is looking for line cooks to join our team. We are looking for passionate, organized, hard-working individuals with experience in a high-volume restaurant and bar setting. Candidates must have a strong desire to learn and grow in addition to having great communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Portions, cuts, slices, dips, batters, breads, whips, beats, maintains holding temperature, fries and sautés
- Selects cuts of meat, poultry, shellfish, fish, game or vegetables to be used for frying or sautéing
- Plates menu items along with appropriate garnish
- Follows recipes and complies with portion sizes, quality standards, department rules and procedures, and D.O.H. regulations
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualified candidates will have:
- 2+ years in a food preparation position
- Degree from a culinary arts training program preferred
- Good knife skills and finger dexterity to use small tools and utensils adeptly
- Ability to exert well-paced mobility for periods up to 8 hours in length
- Ability to lift pots, pans, etc., up to 40 pounds in weight
- Ability to work with commercial equipment including Robot Coupe mixers, Vitamix blenders, torches, etc.
