SOFTWARE DEVELOPER  (PHP | MVC | HTML5 | JS)

Torchlight Technology is setting a new standard for how companies acquire qualified leads - and we're currently searching for a Software Developer to help take us to the next level. 

We are actively searching for a SOFTWARE DEVELOPER that wants to work in an interdisciplinary, teamwork-oriented (Agile/SCRUM process) environment where they will help us build capacity - and the most powerful media buying and lead-generation platform on the market.

As our ideal candidate, you have the technical skills we're looking for and the drive to continue to develop new ones. You are a highly-motivated self-starter who wants to make valuable contributions to our team from day one. You are someone who understands the “full stack” - from soup to nuts - and are always looking for ways to expand skills, jump in, and find elegant and simple solutions to challenging problems.

Projects and Responsibilities Include:

• Work in a collaborative team environment, designing and building new applications intended for a fast-growing market
• Help to make broad technical decisions impacting our stack, our products, and the growth of the entire company
• Help to drive enhancements, optimize performance, and troubleshoot defects for core business applications
• Develop, test and implement software applications and products under the direct supervision of a technical lead
• Contribute to UX design and development
• Take an active part in a team-wide, agile development process

Required Skills and Experience:

• Computer Science degree or 7+ years software development experience
• 4+ years PHP
• 2+ years in MVC frameworks (CakePHP preferred)
• HTML/CSS experience
• 4+ years Javascript/JQuery (Reactjs preferred)
• 4+ years MySQL or Postgres
• AWS experience (EC2, VPC, S3, Elastic Beanstalk, Lambda)
• Apache or nginx
• Proficient in linux command line (Ubuntu preferred)
• Github

Preferable Skills:

• Experience with Javascript frameworks (Reactjs, Angular, Vue)
• Expertise in multiple languages (PHP, node.js, python, rust, etc)
• Experience with Twilio, Sparkpost
• Experience working in Agile/SCRUM process
