    Here’s What We Need:

    The Senior Real Estate Development Manager (REDM) will join our growing development team, directly reporting to the Director of Development and will serve as a key member of the Business Development and New Store Opening (NSO) team for Torchy’s Tacos. This position is remote, as it is a high travel position.

    What you’ll be doing:

    Working closely with our team of brokers and the NSO team, the REDM will be responsible for site selection and negotiation for multiple new locations for Torchy’s Tacos in a defined territory

    The REDM will assist the Business Development department in formulating and executing a growth strategy for both existing markets and new entry markets

    Develop and present specific site Proposal Package, including, but not limited to, Site Attributes, Trade Area Overview, Financial ProFormas, Construction Feasibility, and Operations Feedback

    Manage the real estate development calendar and pipeline, manage inflow of site opportunities; organize, prioritize, and report to multiple departments, including leadership team

    Lead LOI negotiations and assist Legal Counsel in lease negotiations for new locations. Must understand deal points and non-negotiables for all deals

    Communicate and collaborate with the operations team on all development decisions

    Assist the design and construction teams in communication and project management, serving as a point of contact for landlords and brokers

    QUE-SO…here’s what you’ll need:

    Demonstrated ability to work well within multiple teams, driving results while growing relationships

    A Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred

    Ability to travel 30%-50% of the year

    5+ years’ experience in corporate real estate development; *restaurant experience preferred but not required

    Experience working with real estate analytics platforms and reports

    Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; Apply good judgment in decision making

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills, presentation skills and strong collaboration skills

    Creative problem-solving abilities and outstanding organizational skills

    Strong computer proficiency; Excellent in MS Office applications

    Active listener with a passion for learning

    Location is flexible
