    Purpose of Position:

    We’re looking for a creative, tech-savvy digital graphic designer and videographer to join our Learning and Development Team. Must be passionate about developing cutting-edge training materials, internal communications and branding, training videos and job aids that make learning “Damn Good”. Strong technology and web content development skills are a must, as is a sense of humor and desire to innovate. This position reports to our Director of Learning and Development with a dotted line to the Creative Manager.

    This role is 50% video and 50% layout and design

    What you’ll be doing:

    Collaborating with internal customers to create digital and/or graphic content to support our internal teams.

    Designing experiences that solve learning needs by translating written and verbal concepts a wide variety of video, digital, print and web-based solutions.

    Copywriting and editing internal communications, This is How We Do It manuals, training materials, and other internal customer materials.

    Meeting with department heads to design department internet pages.

    Handling projects at all stages of development—from concept, design and presentation, through to production and delivery.

    Partnering with Marketing to ensure our culture and brand standards are met.

    Brainstorming ideas and determines product plans including, but not limited to, writing, shooting, and editing high quality video productions and photography.

    Shooting videos, still photography, for a variety of Torchy’s internal events.

    In the first 3 – 6 months you’ll be:

    Visiting our stores and meeting our teams

    Creating “Damn Good” digital training solutions including templates, job aids, and store operations

    Designing and developing innovative and engaging company intranet sites

    Creating a library of training videos including scripting, storyboarding, shooting, subtitling and editing videos

    Assisting with maintenance of digital library/asset management

    Que-So…here’s what you’ll need:

    Five years in video production and graphic design, two years web design.

    Not a plug-n-play position; need someone strong skills in aesthetics, videography, graphics, writing and editing.

    Expert ability to edit, write effective audio scripts/video scripts and instructional text.

    Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, web design tools, Camtasia or other video editing tools.

    Ability to travel 30%.

    Proficient in Microsoft Office.

    Bilingual a plus.

    One year of instructional design.

    Experience in the restaurant industry and training a plus

    BS graphic design or similar a plus
