Purpose of Position:
The Food Runners ensure that all orders served to our guests are accurate and follow Torchy’s food quality standards. This position serves as the liaison between the BOH and FOH.
Responsibilities:
Double checks to go orders
Gets a manager involved when there is an allergy or complicated ticket
Properly breaks down station and cleans for the next shift, restocks if necessary
Keeps kitchen clean and organized including the walk-in
Records and communicates ticket times
Keeps station clean while working, line sweeps
Portions salsas on sheet pans as listed on the prep sheet, Records yields
Properly labels, dates, and fills pans correctly for all produced food items
Practices proper food safety and HACCP techniques, FIFO
Keeps drink station stocked and clean
May be asked to assist with other duties outside of this job description
Perform cleaning duties per lists or as assigned by manager
Desired Skills and Experience:
Food safety standards
Reading and communication skills
Holds current food safety certification for city
