Purpose of Position:
The New Store Opening Taco Prep assembles tacos as they are ordered and produces line prep items as listed on the daily prep sheet according to Torchy’s standards and recipes.
Responsibilities:
Produces perfect tacos on the line per customer orders in the same sequence as they were ordered.
Verifies tickets
Keep line clean while working
Communicates with grill and fry, listens for ticket times and is responsive
Keeps kitchen clean and organized including the walk-in
Details kitchen equipment daily
Upholds Torchy's quality standards at all times
Properly breaks down station and cleans for the next shift, restocks if necessary
Records yield of each recipe
Properly labels, dates and fills pans correctly for all produced food items
Properly sets up station according to diagram with appropriate backups to get through their shift.
Practices proper food safety and HACCP techniques, FIFO
Prepares food according to Torchy’s and Food handlers guidelines
Desired Skills and Experience:
Knowledge of kitchen equipment
Basic knife safety
Basic communication and reading
Ability to multi-task
Kitchen experience a plus
Must be 18 years of age
Holds current food safety certification for city
