Job Posting: Staff Accountant

Location: Ventura CA Salary Range: $26.92-$34.07
Industry: Construction (Preferred but not required)

Position Overview:
Toro Enterprises is seeking a diligent and skilled Staff Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will assist in various accounting tasks, ensuring compliance with accounting regulations and best practices. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to contribute to our financial efficiency and integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in general accounting functions including accounts payable/receivable and general ledger maintenance.
• Process transactions accurately and timely and maintain proper aging schedules.
• Collaborate with other departments to provide financial information and support.
• Assist in month-end closing processes, preparing journal entries, and reconciling bank and general ledger accounts.
• Implement and maintain internal controls and procedures.
• Administer fixed assets, track additions, dispositions, and manage depreciation schedules.
• Assist with annual financial audits, insurance renewals, and end of policy period audits.
• Manage monthly union reporting and maintain city business licenses.
• Engage in other ad-hoc reporting and duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
• 1 to 5 years of experience in General Accounting.
• Experience in the construction industry is preferred but not mandatory.
