  • Responsibilities

Our Technical Operations team is seeking a highly motivated Analytical Development professional to join a growing team and contribute to method development and process/product characterization efforts supporting the development of our Deep-Primed cell therapy platform.  This lab-based role will work closely in a cross-functional team of immunologists, chemists and engineers to support analytical development, method optimization, product characterization, and process development efforts.  Primary responsibilities include experiment design and execution, data analysis, documentation, and verbal and written communication of results to the team and management.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on technical experience with development and optimization of analytical methods for the characterization of cells, proteins and/or nanoparticles, preferably in the context of protein and cell-based therapies.  A self-starting attitude and the ability to focus and function in a fast-paced, dynamic, and highly collaborative environment is a must.

The candidate will make immediate contributions to the analytical group and across the Torque organization by contributing ideas for new assays, method improvements and data analysis approaches. They will have the opportunity to implement method qualification strategies and troubleshooting plans in collaboration with external organizations and all Torque teams. There is significant opportunity for career growth and learning due to the highly collaborative Torque work environment.

Torque Therapeutics is developing a new class of DEEP-PRIMED™ T CELL THERAPEUTICS to dramatically expand cell therapy cures for cancer.  Our Deep-Priming technology platforms generate T cells that target multiple tumor antigens and pharmacologically activate an immune response with anchored cytokines.  In hematologic cancers, this new class of immune cell therapeutics has the potential to improve on the initial success of single-target CAR T therapeutics with expanded efficacy, and also move cell therapy treatment out of the hospital with a high margin of safety. For solid tumors, Deep-Primed T cells have the potential to enable efficacy against tumors with heterogeneous antigens protected by hostile microenvironments, which are not readily addressable with the first generation of immune cell therapies.
