Job Description
Torsh Inc. is an education technology company that produces Torsh TALENT, an online professional learning platform that enables organizations to support educator growth through the entire development cycle of observation, assessment, goal-setting, feedback and coaching. The Product Manager is responsible for the product planning and execution of features on our online platform(s). In this role you will gather and prioritize product and customer requirements, work closely with customers, sales, marketing, engineering, and customer success departments to ensure that the needs of all stakeholders are properly represented in the products and features we build. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated and successful track record of driving software projects from concept through launch.
RESPONSIBILITIES
● Work with senior management to prepare strategic product positioning documents for new and existing products, including features, client benefits and competitive differentiation
● Write complete and succinct product requirements with sufficient detail that our engineering team can build products within agreed upon timeframes and budgets
● Create an integrated view of our products and how they fit into the competitive landscape, based on analyses of company and market data
● Articulate the value proposition for new products, features and enhancements
● Refine product strategy and testing with customers and sales staff
● Create regular processes for monitoring product performance and executing on all product enhancements
● Collaborate with the relevant company teams to design and develop appropriate product features for our customers
● Work with sales team to develop product sales strategies
● Special projects/initiatives as assigned
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
FORMAL EDUCATION & CERTIFICATION
● Four year university degree is required; an advanced degree is a plus
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
● 3+ years of experience with product management, business development or related function within web and/or mobile development environments
● Strong hands-on project management skills including experience driving software projects from concept through launch
● Demonstrable passion for K-12 education
● Strong working knowledge of Google productivity suite (drive, sheets, docs), Excel, Word and PowerPoint
● Technically competent and familiar with web and mobile applications
