POSITION SUMMARY AND PURPOSE:
Tosaf Inc is looking for a successful Logistics/Transportation Coordinator (LTC) to join the team. The LTC prepares, routes and manages inbound, outbound, import and export transportation. Their main duties include scheduling shipments, collaborating with transportation systems to ensure prompt shipment pick-ups and deliveries, monitoring shipment costs and productivity processes. The candidate must have at least 3 years of logistics experience in manufacturing companies.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Scheduling and monitoring transportation providers to ensure prompt and proper movement of shipments
- Provide internal guidance on shipment cost/rate quotes as needed
- Reviewing shipping documents to ensure accuracy
- Process shipping documents in ERP system
- Maintain relationships and regular communications with carriers and freight brokers
- Tracking and fixing shipping errors
- Evaluate and facilitate resolution of transportation claims
- Ensuring that the quality of all services provided meets the required standards
- Analyzing freight through TMS reports, maintaining import report
- Developing processes that make the supply chain more efficient and organized
- Knowledge of import/export shipments pertaining to international regulations
- Field a high volume of emails and phone calls
- Effective communication with all the departments.
- Assist with other business functions as needed.
EDUCATION AND KEY ATTRIBUTES:
- Associate degree in business or related field – Preferred
- Minimum 3 years logistics experience with background in manufacturing
- Experience with TMS (Transportation Management Software) a plus
- Ability to multitask while maintaining a high level of detail.
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Self-starter and ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Exceptional time-management and organizational skill set.
- Must be computer proficient, Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Experience working with an ERP/SAP system is a plus.
- Forklift license is a plus
