JOB DESCRIPTION One  of TotalMed’s National PBM's is seeking to Prior Authorization Representative at one of it's mail-order specialty pharmacy locations on an open contrate to hire basis.

Pay :  $13/hr - $18/hr Shift: 8-hour shift between 5:00 AM - 7:00 PM Benefits: Medical/Dental/Vision after 90 days Location:  Phoenix, Arizona 85040 Contract to hire eligibility: Minimum of 13 week probation (90 work days)

SUMMARY : As a Clinical Prior Authorization Representative, you will handle inbound calls from medical offices, physicians, and healthcare providers in support of our Prior Authorization Department. In addition, you will be the important first-line of contact with our customers. You will set the tone for how our company provides support services. You will also consult and work with clinical pharmacists on a daily basis. This is a fast-paced position that requires attention to detail and multi-tasking. 

•    Solid knowledge of prescription drug reimbursement, including insurance plan types, PBM and major medical benefits, prior authorizations and appeals processing. •    Ability to work in a fast paced environment, handling both inbound and outbound calls •    Must be organized, detail-oriented and able to document cases clearly and accurately in accordance with the program guidelines.  •    Good communication skills are essential, both internal and external. Knowledge of Medicare benefits.
