Total Network Solutions is an IT Service provider focused on providing our clients with innovative technology in order to deliver excellent IT service. Total Network Solutions (TNS) is currently looking for a SENIOR SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR, specializing in Network, Server, and Storage technologies. The position would be a technical lead and will be responsible for support of IT Infrastructure systems across multiple client environments. Additional responsibilities include assisting the TNS Helpdesk with incident analysis and resolution.

The Senior Systems Administrator role is to work with TNS clients and with the TNS team to ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of customer infrastructure. Additionally the Senior Systems Administrator should be able to design and implement core infrastructure using industry best practices. The position requires candidates to have excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve issues.

Since this is a senior level position, the selected individual will play a lead role and provide mentoring and all levels of support to other Systems Administrators on the team.

Let’s talk about some of the key responsibilities of the role:

• Diagnose & correct computer system and server issues.

• Configure & troubleshoot software & hardware enhancements, application deployments and infrastructure up-grades.

• Lead the team to manage servers and other computer system aspects of our clients.

• Train & supervise as needed.

• May perform other related duties as required and/or assigned.

Skills and Qualifications Required for this Dynamic Team Member:

• Required

  • Bachelor’s degree with major coursework in Computer Science, CIS, MIS or related field trade certificates comparable to degree/experience.

  • 5+ years of experience in administering IT infrastructure systems.

  • Ability to work with within a team and provide leadership in the design, deployment, and support of IT infrastructure systems

  • Provide recommendations, develop and maintain documentation

  • Solid experience with physical and virtual server environments

  • Office 365, Azure, AWS, and other Cloud Services experience

  • Extensive working knowledge of network, Server, and storage systems

  • In depth knowledge of Windows Server, Virtual Machines, Hypervisor, Azure Active Directory, VMware and Veaam, Office 365, SQL database, Cloud security, Cloud monitoring, automation.

  • Experience with Backup, Recovery and Disaster Recovery.

  • Strong Cisco Networking, Cisco Voice, experience with working with the following security appliances (Fortinet, Meraki, SonicWALL, Cisco ASA, etc.).

  • Virtualized infrastructure including networking, firewalls, Web Application Firewalls (WAF), Public IP and Domain administration.

  • Solid theoretical knowledge and hands on experience configuring, troubleshooting, optimizing and managing most of the following hardware/software technologies & protocols:

    • Storage Systems

    • Servers

    • Windows Operating Systems

    • Linux and Unix Operating Systems

    • Network devices (routers, switches, security appliances)

    • Backup Solutions

    • VMware and Hyper-V

    • ISCSI and Fiber Channel SAN connectivity

  • Incident management.

  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to quickly grasp technical issues and offer solutions.

  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills.

  • Outgoing & enthusiastic personality.

  • Professional business demeanor.

  • Customer-focused attitude and desire to interface directly with end-user clients.

  • Prior experience with computer programming, computer science, computer engineering.

  • Must be well versed and have up to date knowledge in the latest technology.

  • Attention to detail while working in a fast-paced environment.

  • Understanding of industry best practices surrounding proper maintenance & support of cloud-based infrastructure_._

  • Veeam Backup and Replication

  • PowerShell and Scripting
