Total Solutions is in search of an Accounting Services Manager to join their growing team in Davenport, IA. The Accounting Services Manager should have a passion for leading a team of people, enjoy performing client facing work and a strong accounting background.

JOB TITLE: Accounting Services Manager

DEPARTMENT: Accounting

REPORTS TO: President

DIRECT REPORTS: Accountants, A/P Specialist and Billing Specialist

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Completes billable accounting functions for various external clients
• Manages and supervises the accounting team, this includes participating in the staffing process, completing 90 day and annual employee reviews, disciplinary actions, and employee engagement
• Prepares monthly journal entries and financial analysis reports
• Prepares account and bank reconciliations
• Ensures financial transactions are properly recorded
• Reviews, investigates, and corrects errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports
• Analyzes, interprets, and summarizes financial information
• Holds weekly meetings with the accounting team
• Researches various accounting process improvement topics and provides recommendations to management and the owner

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is required
• Proficient in MS Office Suite, with emphasis on Excel
• Experienced in QuickBooks
• Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, clients, and vendors
• Ability to handle multiple client accounts, with the ability to multi-task accurately and meet deadlines as assigned

PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT:

• Office environment; long periods of sitting, computer screen and typing
