ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Conduct research and compile statistical information regarding program effectiveness, financial impact and any associated trends.
Coordinate clear, concise and effective communication of new, existing or changes in the vendor programs.
Respond to vendor related inquiries/complaints from staff and find satisfactory resolutions. This includes logging and tracking of inquiry trends. Also, review and act on vendor performance information provided by the Claims Quality Assurance Unit.
Assist in the design of vendor management reports.
Develop vendor service requirements by trade and monitor compliance.
Review and coordinate approval all vendor applications and securing associated documentation.
Assure vendor compliance with insurance and licensing requirements on an annual basis.
Monitor metrics pertaining to key program goals such as vendor benefits, program ROI, internal and external customer satisfaction, etc.
Work closely with vendors and adjusters to strengthen professional relationships, meet or exceed program goals, and enhance the benefits to internal and external customers.
Coordinate vendor response following major weather events.
Represent the company at vendor related events and conferences and meet with vendors in and out of home office including site visits to vendor locations.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
The successful Vendor Coordinator must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements that follow are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Bachelor’s degree (B.S or B.A.), or equivalent, from a four-year college, university, or technical school. Ten years of claims and/or insurance industry experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. CPCU, AIC or equivalent professional insurance designations are a plus.
