Specific Job Title: Associate Director for Clinical Services
Reports to : Director of Center for Counseling and Consultation

Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Director for Center for Counseling and Consultation (CCC), the Associate Director for Clinical Services assists the CCC Director in implementing strategic initiatives and the day to day operations of the CCC. In addition, the clinical director’s responsibilities includes setting and updating clinical policy and procedures, providing guidance to clinicians making clinical judgments. The Associate Director for Clinical Services creates coverage plan for the center and builds the strategy for clinical services and managing assignment of clients, providing clinical supervision to staff members prior to their clinical licensure, implementation of the Health Related Leave Policy for the University and regularly produce reports regarding clinical services. The clinical director will also assist with the implementation of campus wide mental health screening (i.e., ISP) and coordination of care with the St. John’s Helpline (i.e., Protocol). Some evening and weekend hours will be required.

Provide administrative and clinical supervision to staff as assigned by the Director, provide administrative & clinical oversight for psychiatrist, prepare monthly clinical reports for clinical services, and write clinical procedures and policies in consultation with Director.

This position operates in a professional office environment and the incumbent is required to use standard office equipment such as personal computers, printers, etc. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; move about; sit; to carry work; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; communicate. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 10 lbs.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This position is full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. • Due to the nature of the position, extra work and flexible hours including evenings and weekends may be needed during campus or department emergencies.

In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual salary range for this position is $113,000 - $126,000 .
