THIS POSITION IS FOR MANN PACKING (A DEL MONTE COMPANY)

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

The Technical Documentation and Product Specialist will be responsible for the management and tracking of technical documentation.  This position will receive, review, edit, track, complete, and organize technical information from various sources and document for accuracy in the appropriate database and according to company policies and procedures. Individual will be a back-up QA Support.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Inputs technical product information into specified customer database and serves as the expert on these systems.
• Edits and manages internal product specifications.
• Responds to customer technical inquiries in a professional manner.
• Administers and updates company’s procedural documentation in compliance with food safety and quality requirements.
• Back-up to QA Supports.
• Main liaison for customer complaints and internal investigation
• Responsible for handling micro-results received from the lab.
• Simple accounts payable coding
• Back-up to Food Safety Supervisor
• Customer Sample submissions

MINIMUM SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Bachelors Degree of Science and/or 1 year industry experience.
• Ability to manage time and work independently so deadlines are met.
• Strong organizational skills, with strong attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate both written and verbally.
• Computer literate and well versed in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to think strategically, analyze, problem solve and execute tactically.
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
• Knowledge of specification database systems.
• Bilingual

5)  Able to demonstrate continued expertise in the primary tools or applications used in completing daily work assignments.

6)  Requires very good communication skills with ability to state messages in a clear manner by using language that is easy for others to understand.

7)  Must be able to proactively listen to others to understand issues and situations. Must be able to clearly articulate business needs to both internal and external customers.

8)  Knowledgeable of the critical factors affecting sourcing and supplier management.

9)  General knowledge of tools/techniques of competitive and collaborative purchasing and price and cost analysis tools.

10)  Skilled in negotiating and understanding of purchasing contract language. Intermediate skills in developing or applying effective and proactive supplier management techniques and tools.
