     THIS POSITION IS FOR MANN PACKING (A DEL MONTE COMPANY)

     

    PURPOSE OF POSITION:

     

    As the administrative office assistant you will organize files, prepare reports and documents, and offer general staff support. Serve as an initial point of contact, answering phones and greeting visitors. Will assist in payroll, safety, scheduling, and employee attendance functions.

     

    ACCOUNTABILITIES:

     

     

    • Pre-Operational Inspection, ATP and Environmental swabs.
    • Placement of overage product (in process) on QA hold.
    • Calibrate QA equipment (hand held and thermometers) and Production scales.
    • Check metal detectors, wash water for free chlorine, pH and temperature, monitor water change over and check free chlorine on all wash waters, foot bath and hand dips.  
    • Pick up one bag/tray of each product that is ran throughout the day for daily sample collection and cases of finished product following retention sample collection schedule.
    • Check date codes, seals, weights, perforations and COO on products that are being produced.
    • Make sure that Production/Maintenance is following all GMPs, SOP, specs, etc.
    • Record any deviation on OTO, notify appropriate personnel and make sure that the proper follow-up is conducted.
    • Plane non-conforming product on hold with physical stop signs, in JDE and notify all pertinent personnel by following Product Hold Contact List.
    • Conduct finished product evaluations and record data on appropriated forms and spreadsheets.
    • Ensure that all areas are covered when Maintenance does work during processing and upon completion areas are washed and sanitized after any Maintenance work.
    • Collect raw, in-process, finished product and wash water samples per micro sampling schedule.
    • Follow QA cleaning schedule.
    • Performs other responsibilities as assigned.
    • In the absence of other QA Supports will assume additional duties and responsibilities.
    • Raw Product Evaluation
    • Evaluate every lot of product coming into the plant (Broccoli spears, Field-cut florets,Broccoli stems, Cauliflower, Broccolini trays, Broccollini field-packs, Chip carrots, Baby carrots, Chunk carrots, Tomatoes, Celery, Snow peas, Snap peas, Romaine hearts, Brussels Sprouts, green beans, wax beans, Napa cabbage, Organic broccoli spears, Organic cauliflower, Organic baby and chunk carrots, Organic tomatoes, or others as needed)
    • Evaluate all overage products.
    • Place non conforming product on QA hold with physical stop signs, in JDE and notify all pertinent personnel by following Product Hold Contact List.
    • Place marginal product on caution and record.
    • Conduct finished product evaluation as needed.
    • Calibrate thermometers.
    • Collect water samples per micro sampling schedule.
    • Follow QA cleaning schedule.
    • Record any deviations on OTO, notify appropriate personnel and make sure that the proper follow-up is conducted.
    • Performs other responsibilities as assigned.
    • In the absence of other QA Supports will assume additional duties and responsibilities.
    • Other duties as needed.

     

     

    MINIMUM SKILLS REQUIRED:

     

    • 0-3 years of experience in the manufacturing field
    • High School Diploma or GED
    • Strong verbal and written skills
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office
    • Bilingual in Spanish (plus)

    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet pressing deadlines
    • Ability to produce quality work product
    • Flexibility to work overtime
    • Minimum typing speed of 60 wpm with 95% accuracy
    • Good knowledge of MS Office programs including Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Knowledge of legal terminology and legal citations preferred but not required
