Job Description:

The Certified Public Accountant will be responsible for the preparation of financial reports, analysis of financial data, and other duties as assigned. The position will report to the Controller and will work closely with management to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Core Duties & Responsibilities:

• Prepare financial statements according to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) for a public company

• Analyze and present financial results in terms of sales, expenses, profit, and cash flow

• Prepare monthly financial reports for various reporting periods including: balance sheet accounts; cash flow; assets; debt; liquidity; litigation funding)

• Prepare financial forecasts and analysis for the company’s long-term growth strategy

• Prepare tax returns according to government regulations and company procedures

• Perform other duties as assigned (i.e., audit support, accounting research, etc.)

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required; Master’s degree preferred. CPA certification preferred but not required. CPA certification preferred but not required.

• Experience in public accounting required. CPA certification may be substituted for degree or combination of education and experience in public accounting.

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
