    We are currently looking for experienced HSE Advisors across various FIFO & DIDO projects throughout Australia. 

     

    MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

    • Provide advice and assistance to managers and supervisors on HSE management
    • Liaise with client representatives and external bodies to identify safety requirements and standards
    • Review, improve and implement procedures for HSE management
    • Complete safety investigations and reporting
    • Identify HSE training needs for the project or operation
    • Assist in the induction of new employees

     TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THESE OPPORTUNITIES, IT IS ESSENTIAL TO POSSESS THE FOLLOWING:

    • Minimum of Cert IV in OHS
    • Cert IV in Training and Assessing will be highly regarded
    • Qualification in Incident investigation 
    • Experience working on heavy industrial sites and in remote locations
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to liaise with all levels of the company
    • Ability to multi-task, prioritise own workload and work unsupervised
    • Desire to continually improve

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Versatility, flexibility and a willingness to work through constantly changing priorities in a fast-paced environment;
    • Detail oriented with strong analytic and diagnostic skills;
    • Advanced Microsoft Office computer skills;
    • Solid knowledge of compensation principles, laws and regulations including, but not limited to, EEO, FLSA, and other related areas of compliance;
    • Experience with ADP systems, with an emphasis on reporting and data integrity, preferred;
    • Capacity to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple projects;
    • Excellent history of interpersonal and communication skills with outstanding customer service skills;
    • Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality;
    • Familiarity with manufacturing and industrial settings is helpful;
    • Must be able to work independently and as a member of a team;
    • Ability to meet deadlines and sort through information in order to resolve complex and abstract issues and reconcile complicated and detailed data.

    COMPUTER SKILLS 

    Must have proficient computer skills in Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint. Ability to perform basic Internet research is also preferred. 

    LANGUAGE SKILLS

    Must be able to fluently speak, write and read in English. Ability to read, write legibly and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English.

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

    Ability to add, subtract, multiply & divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

    REASONING ABILITY

    Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to apply broad knowledge of principles, practices and procedures to complete difficult assignments.
