    Your Career

    The Logistics and Trade Compliance Specialist will provide essential operational support for Palo Alto Networks Logistics and Compliance processes. This role is integral to the end-to-end supply chain, requiring the ability to interact effectively with both internal stakeholders (e.g., Order Fulfillment, Sales Operations, Service Logistics, Legal) and external partners (e.g., channel distribution, distribution centers,government agencies) across all organizational levels regarding a diverse range of logistics and compliance activities.

    The position requires a comprehensive understanding and practical application of logistics best practices, coupled with in-depth knowledge of export and import regulations within a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Key responsibilities will encompass but are not limited to ERP and system tools development, automate shipment documentation, adherence to routing guides, sanctioned party screenings, export license determinations, proactive problem-solving, risk assessment, cost analysis, and related projects.

    Your Impact

    • Provide compliant documentation to support Palo Alto Networks' international shipments in accordance with BIS and CBP regulations, including the creation of commercial invoices, packing lists, and related documentation.
    • Manage Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for business operations.
    • Assist with ad hoc changes to shipments and monitor their progress through delivery.
    • Resolve issues related to export and import clearances for all Palo Alto Networks equipment and assets.
    • Ensure external transportation and logistics partners maintain compliance in support of Palo Alto Networks’ export compliance program.
    • Support record keeping processes and retention for import and export documentation in accordance with BIS and CBP regulations.
    • Engage in cross-training with team members for continuity and comprehensive worldwide coverage.
    • Develop, maintain analytics to support best practices and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
    • Ensure ongoing compliance with export and import laws and regulations.
    • Review and validate purchase orders, with particular attention to products for export, end-users,and destination countries for export license requirements.
    • Validate sanctioned party list screening results for release.
    • Apply a thorough understanding of the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), Schedule B and Export Control Classification Number (ECCN) to ensure accuracy of export and import documentation.
    • Conduct audits of export and import compliance and adhere to established reporting processes.
    • Perform other responsibilities and projects related to continuous improvement.

    Your Experience

    • Familiarity with transportation across all modes and best practices.
    • 5 to 7 years of experience in logistics and trade compliance.
    • Familiar with Inventory Control practices (replenishment/picking/returns)
    • Working knowledge of the Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
    • Working knowledge of Customs and Border Protection (CBP) import regulations and the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS).
    • Demonstrated track record of successfully supporting global business operations.
    • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience in export and import trade compliance and logistics.
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to work cross-functionally and collaboratively with a strong sense of urgency.
    • Flexible, dedicated team player with strong interpersonal skills.
    • Proven ability to work effectively and independently.
    • Outstanding attention to detail.

    • Prior experience utilizing SAP preferred.
    • Proficiency with Google Workspace, including Gmail, GSheets, GDocs, GSlides, Gemini, and NotebookLM preferred.

    Compensation Disclosure

    The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between $100,000- $130,000/YR .
