    This program is a 10-week full-time opportunity that starts on June 6th, 2022 and will end on August 12, 2022.     The Trade Strategy Team is a newly formed team that was created to protect and grow $30B in cost of goods and drive outsize growth in CVS’s current portfolio of $300 million in new initiatives (e.g. pharmaceutical data products), meeting growth targets through 2025. The team is responsible for articulating the vision and strategy for Pharmaceutical Contracting and Purchasing (Trade) organization, developing business cases and executing new initiatives, and delivering thought leadership via whitepapers/executive overviews on relevant topics. You will work on:

    • The Trade Strategy intern will support the development and execution of the Trade Strategy. Scope of work will include:
    • Support development and execution of Trade growth strategy: Develop deep understanding within PBM/Trade to ‘see around corners’ as to where the market will be heading, consolidating insights and developing products to achieve market advantages.
    • Create business cases for new initiatives: Design, construct, and execute analyses to meet business case requirements using data that will often be self-sourced through observations, tests, interviews, and custom data pulls.
    • Manage new growth opportunities: Engage cross-functionally across the organization to design solutions, develop test and implementation plans, drive results, and resolve issues encountered by the team
    • Produce thought leadership per executive requests: Research, draw relevant insights, and prepare responses (white papers, etc.) for senior enterprise stakeholders on inquiries relevant to trade strategy"

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Meet educational requirements (see education section)
    • 2+ years of professional work experience
    • Experience with spreadsheets, databases, and presentation software

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Demonstrated leadership experience and initiative
    • Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem solving and communication skills
    • Previous consulting, healthcare, and or retail experience preferred but not required

    EDUCATION

    • You should currently be pursuing an MBA
    • Have an anticipated graduation date between September 2022 and August 2023
