    Position Overview

    We are seeking a highly skilled Analyst, Trade and Supply Chain to join our dynamic team in Washington, DC. This position will play a crucial role in supporting Eurasia Group's Trade and Supply Chain practice by providing expert analysis, research, and consulting services. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of experience, along with a strong background in US and Asia-Pacific trade policy.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Collaborate with the Practice Head and Trade and Supply Chain Analysts to develop high-quality content and provide customized solutions to clients.
    • Conduct in-depth research and analysis on trade policies, including US tariff types and legal processes, US export controls, and investment screening.
    • Analyze data on China overcapacity, US trade policy responses, and critical minerals sourcing/diversification.
    • Address ad hoc research requests related to international trade policy, standards, and agreements.
    • Manipulate aggregate trade data to identify patterns or shifts in trade and FDI flows.
    • Develop strategic insights and recommendations for clients based on research findings.
    • Engage with clients directly, providing expert insights and fostering strong relationships.
    • Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and other client-facing materials.

    Desired Skills and Experience

    • 5-7 years of experience in research or consulting, particularly within the US government or a think tank.
    • Demonstrated expertise in US and Asia-Pacific trade policy areas.
    • Strong research and analytical skills with a focus on trade policy issues such as US tariffs, export controls, investment screening, and critical minerals.
    • Familiarity with international trade policy, standards, and agreements.
    • Experience in data manipulation and analysis to identify trade and FDI patterns.
    • Previous client-facing experience is an advantage.
    • Proficiency in PowerPoint and presentation deck development.
    • Experience in the global logistics, maritime, or international infrastructure industries is a plus.
    • Exceptional writing skills with the ability to produce clear, concise, and insightful reports.
    • Strong public speaking skills and comfort presenting to diverse audiences.
    • Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively within a team environment.
    • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s or MBA preferred.

    The applicable base salary range for this role is $70,000 to $90,000

    The base pay offered will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, and education. Decisions will be made on a case-by-case basis.
