Remote Experienced Trademark Legal Assistant We are a fast-growing law firm specializing in business and intellectual property law. We are looking for a virtual full-time trademark legal assistant. The Virtual Trademark Legal Assistant provides administrative support to trademark lawyers and trademark specialists who handle intellectual property and trademark-related matters. This position requires a high level of organization, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. The Virtual Trademark Legal Assistant works remotely and is responsible for managing multiple tasks and deadlines while collaborating with other members of the legal team. Responsibilities: • Conduct trademark searches and assist with trademark clearance and registration applications • Draft and file trademark-related documents and correspondence • Monitor and maintain trademark portfolios, including renewals, assignments, and records • Enter, manage, and follow up diligently with lawyers and specialists regarding the docket and deadlines • Communicate with clients and government agencies to ensure compliance with legal requirements and deadlines • Assist with the preparation of legal opinions and briefs related to trademark matters • Manage electronic and physical files, including organizing and indexing documents and data • Provide administrative support, such as scheduling meetings, answering phone calls, and managing emails • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervising attorney Qualifications: • 3+ years of experience in a legal assistant, legal secretary, or trademark support role required; prior law firm experience strongly preferred • Must have hands-on experience with trademark prosecution, trademark filings, docket management, and trademark-related administrative processes • Strong familiarity with trademark laws, USPTO procedures, and trademark databases such as TESS and WIPO Global Brand Database required • Ability to independently manage trademark deadlines, filings, office actions, renewals, and related correspondence with minimal supervision • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, document management systems, and legal/trademark software platforms • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail and professionalism • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, coordinate with attorneys and clients, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills • Demonstrates accountability, ownership, and the ability to proactively anticipate attorney and client needs • Experience handling sensitive legal documents and maintaining confidentiality is required Compensation: $20 - $25 hourly
