Tradewinds is searching for a fashion-savvy Optician/Optician Apprentice to join the team. They should be creative, goal-oriented and focused on providing the best possible shopping experience for our customers. Licensed or unlicensed optician with 3+ years of experience, including sales, billing and opthalmic troubleshooting. Candidate must be comfortable working with infants, toddlers and children, as well as adults with eyewear. These candidates will play a pivotal role in expanding Tradewinds branding and business growth. Tradewinds Eye Care is separated into into Medical Services, Opthalmic and Fashion Eye Wear and Accessories. In this role, a successful candidate will be an effective communicator with the ability to provide an amazing guest experience. Having basic understanding of the retail sales model or sales in general will be key to success. This role is an ideal start for an ambitious candidate who is eager to drive business.

Style guests with the most appropriate eye wear and perform the proper adjustments

Analyze sales and key metrics to identify business opportunities

Provide recommendations to improve sales and margins

Coordinate and create launch plans for new products

Design and execute targeted e-mails for monthly promotions

Develop the online brand and manage online merchandising

Our environment is fast-paced, and requires someone who is flexible, detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working . The ideal candidate will have experience as an Optician, an acute focus on the customer experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree, preferred in Business and/or Fashion

Optician License is preferred

Possess a creative flair for fashion

3-5+ years of relevant optical experience

Proven track record in retail sales and merchandising

Proven track record of success in a high-energy, fast-paced environment

Proactive attitude, detail-oriented, and a team player

Strong organizational skills including prioritizing, scheduling, and time management

Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
