At BrightStar Care of Honolulu, we believe exceptional care starts with exceptional people — and exceptional training. We’re looking for a motivated and compassionate Training & Onboarding Manager to shape the first experiences of every new caregiver and ensure they’re prepared to deliver care that truly makes a difference.

This role owns the full onboarding and training experience — from selection to 90-day readiness — ensuring every new team member feels welcomed, supported, and equipped to provide five-star care. Through strong onboarding, field mentorship, and meaningful relationships, this leader directly impacts caregiver confidence, client satisfaction, and care quality across the island.

The Hoku'alohi Promise- "We promise to provide the kind of care we would want for our own loved ones; to be compassionate, empathetic, patient & kind, while providing reliable, trustworthy, and top-notch, professional home care."

    How You’ll Make an Impact

Coordinate and participate in caregiver interviews in collaboration with leadership.

Lead engaging new hire orientations that build confidence, connection, and readiness.

Deliver hands-on skills training and partner with nursing leadership on competency development.

Provide in-field mentorship and support, reinforcing best practices in safety, professionalism, and care quality.

Maintain training and credential compliance records to ensure all caregivers are audit-ready.

Monitor key metrics including onboarding satisfaction (eNPS), retention, and the number of new hires actively working on schedule — not inactive on the roster.

Recommend and implement improvements that make the caregiver experience more efficient, effective, and inspiring.

    Who You Are

You have at least two years of caregiving, CNA, or nursing experience and a passion for teaching or mentoring.

You communicate with warmth, clarity, and confidence.

You’re organized and thrive in a role where every day blends structure with flexibility.

You believe great training leads to great care — and you’re excited to shape that journey.

You have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel across Oʻahu.
