    <p><strong>Remote</strong></p><p><strong>Fixed rate 1099 contract based on $65 - $75 /hr</strong></p><p><strong>3 months + (opportunity for long-term contract work)</strong></p><p>We are seeking Senior Instructional Designers for 3+ month contracts with Training Systems Design as an ongoing need. If you have strong, well-rounded skills in instructional design, great communication skills, and preferably experience with medical device, medical imaging, and/or cardiac anatomy training development we want to hear from you. </p><p><em>Important note:</em> The project hours will flex up and down with the normal cycles of analysis, design, and development. </p><p><strong>About </strong><strong>Training Systems Design</strong></p><p>Based in Ventura County, we are an award-winning training design and development consulting firm that is experiencing significant organic growth. Accordingly, we have openings for contract Sr. Consultant/Sr. Instructional Designer to work with both Facilitator-led and Web-based training platforms. For over 20 years we have delivered learning solutions to primarily Fortune 500 companies and are interested in onboarding senior level learning professionals with exceptional client-focused consulting skills. If you are interested in joining our contract team, please submit your resume and work samples for review.</p><p><strong>Job Description</strong></p><p>The Senior Consultant/Sr. Instructional Designer collaborates with our clients and internal team members to identify and develop learning solutions that drive client organizational performance and business results.</p><p><strong>The Sr. Consultant/Sr. Instruction Designer:</strong></p><ul><li><p>Applies business acumen to interpret client needs and determine business learning solutions</p></li><li><p>Applies learning theory and instructional design and development strategies to deliver exceptional learning solutions</p></li><li><p>Participates in client and internal meetings</p></li><li><p>Completes all aspects of content information gathering ( i.e., conducts research, data analysis, SME interviews, etc.)</p></li><li><p>Develops Learning Objectives, Teaching Points and Instructional Strategy</p></li><li><p>Collaborates with graphic artists to create visual look and feel of courses</p></li><li><p>Develops storyboards for elearning courses </p></li><li><p>Develops facilitation, classroom and participant materials for ILTs and vILTs</p></li><li><p>For web-based solutions, identifies desired course functionality, onscreen text, audio, along with graphic look and feel and required images</p></li><li><p>Works with the production team during course development to ensure the course as developed aligns with client and learning goals.</p></li><li><p>Leads client reviews</p></li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li><p>Bachelor's Degree required (undergraduate concentration in Instructional Design, Business or Psychology would be ideal); Master's Degree in Instructional Design, Instructional Performance Technology, Business or Organizational Development related field preferred</p></li><li><p>10+ years’ experience in Instructional Design in a business environment-- Extensive knowledge of instructional design/adult learning principles</p></li><li><p>Deep expertise in elearning and facilitator-led learning</p></li><li><p>Highly developed creative and business writing skills</p></li><li><p>Open, flexible approach and superior problem-solving abilities</p></li><li><p>High business acumen</p></li><li><p>Comfortable in a small, fast-growing, entrepreneurial environment</p></li><li><p>Ability to effectively interact and collaborate with all production team members, i.e., programmer/content developers, graphic artists, animators, voice talent, project managers, production assistants, and quality assurance testers</p></li></ul><p>Additional “nice to haves”</p><ul><li><p>Knowledge of Organizational Development/Organizational Learning practices in large organizations </p></li><li><p>Experience helping companies build organizational and human performance capabilities, allowing companies to maximize their success and achieve business goals</p></li><li><p>Experience managing complex projects</p></li><li><p>Experience consulting with and the ability to present to senior level executives</p></li><li><p>Industry experience in either Healthcare, Med Device, Pharma, and Professional Services </p></li></ul>
