We are a thriving, privately-owned trucking company that has been in business for 50 years. We are seeking a Human Resources Manager to provide us with a bi-lingual, professional-level human resources function in our Merced office.

Responsibilities of this position include:

• seasonally recruit, hire and lay off employees
• administer benefits, including 401(k), paid time off and employee insurance
• participate in the selection of employee benefit providers and packages
• compliance with federal and California employment laws and regulations
• compliance with laws and regulations of interstate carriers
• translate company policies and memos
• special assignments as directed.

The ideal candidate for this position will:

• have 15+ years of experience in human resources
• have 5+ years of experience with a seasonal work force
• speak, read and write English and Spanish fluently and correctly
• have an bachelor's degree
• have demonstrated success recruiting seasonal employees
• have demonstrated ability to work independently and initiate productivity improvements.

We are an ESSENTIAL business with a safe working environment. The ideal candidate with have the experience and professionalism to manage a high quality HR department. The Company has locations in Gilroy, Merced and Bakersfield, with the primary HR work location in Merced. This position will require some day travel and rare overnight travel.
