TRANSCORE, A SUBSIDIARY OF ST ENGINEERING,  IS SEEKING A FULL-TIME SOFTWARE ENGINEER TO JOIN OUR TEAM IN HARRISBURG, PENNSYLVANIA.

JOB SUMMARY:  Software Engineer will be responsible for extending, deploying and the ongoing support of our Infinity solution at our numerous customer installations throughout the Virginia and Northeast region.  This position will involve the development of customer specific functionality within the Infinity system along with the creation of new reports.  In addition, this individual will help to ensure the Infinity system is configured properly with the correct parameters and will analyze the flow of the data throughout the system to validate it is functioning properly.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES REQUIRE: 

• Basic knowledge of .NET framework (C#, Web API, WCF, WPF, ADO.NET, LINQ) to architect and deploy customer specific extensions to the Infinity solution
• Basic knowledge in debugging .NET Windows services and application using Web API and WCF frameworks
• Basic knowledge in debugging front-end developed in AngularJS framework.
• Basic knowledge of SQL Server and SQL queries.
• Provide first line of software support for our Infinity installations throughout the Northeast during normal business and off hours
• Provide continued performance improvement to the Infinity system including the database  
• Author technical design specs along with populating the Infinity configuration workbook to ensure the functional requirements are captured and the system fulfills the customer’s expectations  
• Design and develop well documented source code 
• Develop both unit test and system test scripts that will be incorporated into the QA process

 REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Familiarity with .NET framework.
• Familiarity with Object-Oriented concepts
• Familiarity with XML and JSON
• Familiarity with Angular JS framework.
• Familiarity with Entity framework
• Familiarity with build/deployment/unit testing tools
• Highly motivated team player and a self-starter
• Excellent verbal, phone, and written communication skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Professional experience within the Tolling Industry
• Some familiarity with using SQL Server
• Familiarity with System Administration starting with Windows 2012 R2 Servers
• Familiarity with Configuration Management tools such as Dimensions/JIRA/SVN/DevOPS.

EDUCATION:  A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited educational institution or equivalent combination of education.
