    Utilizing best-in-class resources and technology, you will roll up your sleeves and work in collaboration with a senior advisor to tackle complex financial, estate, and tax planning situations and deliver an experience to clients that is second to none. This is what we call fun!

    Interested in more details? As a Planner, you can expect to:

    o Provide technical support to the senior advisor

    o Prepare for and attend client meetings, take notes, complete follow up, and correspond with clients

    o Participate and listen carefully in client and planning meetings and translate the discussions into a strategy for data collection and analysis to help drive financial planning efforts; calculate projections

    o Interview clients about their attitudes, financial constraints, and goals; identify and clarify client needs; review statements provided by clients

    o Continuously stay in relationship with clients and understand their unique circumstances, connections, talents, interests, etc.

    o Create personal financial statements

    § Conduct monthly/quarterly/ad hoc client reporting

    o Meet with clients to review paperwork; ensure all required forms are completed accurately

    o Generate reports, such as position statements, for meetings with clients

    o Organize data

    o Complete accurate financial plans in Money Tree, Right Capital; input updated values into appropriate planning software

    o Perform complex analysis of planning strategies, risks, and opportunities in the areas of retirement planning, tax planning, estate planning, cash flow planning, asset allocation, asset protection, etc.

    § Identify problem areas and summarize for the advisor

    o Own the implementation of client planning strategies

    o Develop client deliverables and reports in a timely, accurate, and informative manner

    · Respond to client service needs throughout the year

    · Research new products and services that will enhance client relationships or fulfill clients’ short- and long-term financial needs; conduct research on FI 360, Morningstar® or COMMunity Link®

    o Stay current on trends in the financial planning area; read trade journals, books, and other publications

    o Recommend new or updated tools and resources to keep Our company Financial on the cutting edge (e.g. regarding customer relationship management, trading models, etc.)

    o Draft letters as needed

    o Place trades through Commonwealth trading platform

    o Assist with workflow needs in the office:

    § Follow up on outstanding transactions with Commonwealth (e.g., transfers)

    § Maintain up-to-date and organized client files, including copies of all signed applications and forms, according to Commonwealth’s compliance requirements

    § Maintain mutual fund, variable annuity, and stock recommended lists

    § Maintain up-to-date information on model portfolio performance (e.g., through Morningstar®

    QUALIFICATIONS FOR THIS ROLE INCLUDE:

    o Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline

    o Proficiency with computer software, including the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and Word), CRM, Wealthscapesm, Morningstar® Advisor Workstationsm, Argus, Value Line, FI 360, Broadridge Forefield Advisor

    o CFP® or FPQP (Financial Paraplanner Qualified Professional) designation, a bonus; willingness to enroll in the CFP® certification program required

    o Minimum of three years of experience in the financial services industry; experience working with NFS processes and forms a plus

    o Series 7, 63/65, 66 preferred

    o Good understanding of financial planning concepts and terminology

    o Knowledge of mutual fund, stock, bond, insurance, and annuity products

    o Knowledge of third-party asset management systems, including how they work, their benefits and their drawbacks

    o Exposure to estate planning issues

    o Excellent people skills, including:

    o Active listening

    o Effective communication

    o Professional, knowledgeable demeanor

    o Ability to establish rapport with clients and coworkers

    o Attention to detail

    o Ability to:

    o Proactively relate internal concerns to manager

    o Identify and solve problems in a timely, efficient, and effective manner

    o Use resources available to answer questions and resolve problems (e.g., COMMunity Link, operations manual, procedures, etc.)

    o Use multiple technology platforms (e.g., CRM system and Wealthscapesm, etc.)

    o Prioritize workload and meet deadlines

    o Work independently

    o Demonstrated job stability and career progression
