Marketing & Proposal Coordinator – Projects located in Sacramento, CA

Compensation and Benefits
This full-time position is a non-exempt (hourly) position eligible for benefits such as healthcare insurance, 401k, paid time off, holidays, etc.
Travel may be required for some projects. When working multi-day assignments, employee will be reimbursed for meals, lodging, and mileage, if applicable.
Compensation is based on qualifications, proficiencies, level of education, and years of relevant experience.
Location:
The position will be based out of Sacramento, CA or surrounding areas.
Responsibilities:
Reviewing government, agency, and client websites and databases for potential contracting opportunities and market research
Drafting emails to Transcon management to notify them of opportunities that are well-suited to Transcon’s skills; obtaining decisions on whether to pursue these contracting opportunities Assisting in monitoring active marketing programs and developing ways to improve upon those methods
Performing regular updates to internal marketing resources, such as Project Description Table, Proposal Library, and Proposal Tracker
Coordinating company proposal efforts from kickoff to closeout/submittal, including but not limited to: Confirming proposal status Scheduling and leading meetings; taking meeting minutes; assigning and following up on action items; coordinating the proposal schedule and setting deadlines for the team Creating proposal outlines; collecting relevant staff resumes and project descriptions Writing portions of proposals Coordinating graphics and editing requirements with appropriate individuals Delivering drafts of costs and proposal to the appropriate individuals; scheduling review of the draft/final page turn by a senior staff member Facilitating compilation and submittal of final proposal package in a timely manner Prepping and update internal tracking spreadsheets as needed for daily/weekly/monthly/annual marketing reporting purposes Attending internal marketing meetings for purposes of taking meeting minutes, and distributing/following up on action items assigned to internal individuals
Contacting current or potential clients for purposes of scheduling calls to discuss contracting opportunities Assisting Leadership Team with various other tasks and assignments, as necessary
Skills and Requirements:
Experience coordinating work products and multi-disciplinary teams 2-4+ years working in Marketing preferred; other administrative positions may be considered if applicable to the required skills. Experience at consulting-based companies a plus!
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Sciences, Natural Resources Management, or a closely related field desirable
