    Job Description

    Project Coordinator Established in 1999, Transcon Environmental, Inc., offers environmental consulting services throughout the United States with our Corporate Office based in Mesa, AZ and offices in Ferndale, San Francisco, and Santa Rosa, California; Cedar City and Draper, Utah; Rawlins, Wyoming; and Roanoke, Virginia. We are a steadily growing company with telecommuting opportunities employing over 200 employees throughout the United States. Our highly successful team of environmental planners, biologists, and archaeologists provides environmental planning, permitting, and compliance as well as infrastructure siting, Class I and Class III studies, Historic Property Treatment Plans, and environmental construction management and monitoring. We are seeking an entry-to-mid-level environmental professional to perform project coordination duties for utility and telecom development projects.

    Travel may be required for projects. Drive time is paid. When working multi-day assignments, employee will be reimbursed for meals, lodging, and mileage, if applicable. Compensation is based on qualifications and relevant experience.

    Responsibilities: • Coordinating project activities at the direction of a primary Project Manager • Tracking and coordinating project staff and deliverables • Tracking and reporting on jobsite activities • Documenting compliance/noncompliance with resource protection measures • Interacting and coordinating with federal, state, local, and tribal agencies • Scheduling, attending, leading, and taking notes for project meetings • Coordinating with other relevant parties on the above activities as necessary

    Skills and Requirements: • B.S. degree in environmental science or another relevant field • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.) • Minimum of 1-year professional experience in environmental industry • Ability to perform work duties independently and efficiently with short deadlines, as well as working in a team setting • Ability to interact and coordinate with federal, state, local, and tribal agencies • Strong writing, editing, and communication skills • Organized, motivated, thorough, accurate, dependable, and trustworthy • Reliable personal vehicle, excellent navigational skills, and a good driving record

    Experience in the following is preferred: • Experience with one or more of the following: • Biological resources (specifically avian surveys, raptor identification, botanical surveys, and/or bat surveys) • Cultural or paleontological resources • Implementing and/or monitoring erosion and sediment controls including preparation and maintenance of SWPPPs • Soils • Restoration and reclamation • Experience with construction projects • Familiarity with typical transmission or electrical utility operations and maintenance activities • Familiarity with Salesforce and ESRI GIS applications (including desktop, ArcGIS, Collector, Survey123, etc.) • Experience driving a four-wheel drive vehicle off-road or in rough terrain • Experience working around heavy machinery and communicating with field and construction crews Applicants must have a clean driving record for at least 5 years prior to the start of work.
