    Position: Grant Program Compliance & AP/AR Accountant Organization: Transformational Living Homes, Inc. Location: Long Beach, CA Salary Range: $18-25 per hour

    Primary Responsibilities:

    Grant Management: Oversee the complete grant lifecycle, from acquisition to reporting.

    Enter, verify, and reconcile all financial data and transactions related to grants.

    Analyze grant-related budgets, prepare financial reports, and ensure accurate financial statements.

    Establish and implement grant accounting policies ensuring adherence to regulations.

    Handle the negotiation, drafting, and management of MOUs and sub-contracts related to grants.

    Monitor and manage timely submission of grant deliverables and reports.

    Ensure that grant and contract documentation align with both internal policies and funder requirements.

    Conduct comprehensive internal grant audits annually, verifying compliance and proper documentation.

    Review and monitor all grant expenditures, ensuring alignment with awarded budgets and making necessary adjustments.

    Collaborate with external grant managers on sub-contracts, applications, and renewals.

    Provide regular fund analysis, anticipating future budget outcomes.

    Accounts Payable/Receivable (AP/AR):

    Process, verify, and reconcile incoming and outgoing transactions.

    Maintain up-to-date billing system and generate and send out invoices.

    Follow up on, collect, and allocate payments.

    Process and monitor incoming payments and secure revenue by verifying and posting receipts.

    Prepare bills, invoices, and bank deposits.

    Conduct account reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies.

    Qualifications:

    Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.

    Previous experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or a similar role.

    Comprehensive understanding of nonprofit organizations, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and mandatory experience in QuickBooks Online.

    Strong analytical, mathematical, organizational, and time management skills.

    Exceptional attention to detail coupled with strong communication abilities.

    Prior experience in a nonprofit setting is highly desired.

    Familiarity with OMB Circulars and all pertinent grant-related regulations.
