Transforming Lives, Inc. (TLI) is looking for dynamic secondary education teachers (grades 6 through 12) to work full-time in our alternative schools & programs across New Castle County. We are hiring for the core disciplines of (English and Social Studies), as well as for special education teaching/instruction. Teachers are responsible for delivering quality instruction to a diverse student population. Our teachers are expected to set ambitious learning goals for their students and work to achieve them by utilizing research-supported teaching strategies, forming positive relationships with students predicated on high expectations, and being a good steward of their students’ learning and outcomes. Our teachers are salaried, full-time employees with full benefits that include medical/dental insurance; life insurance; 401(k); and paid time off.

The ideal candidate will possess a valid Delaware teaching certificate or be eligible for certification. Being dually certified in a core subject and special education is a plus.

Our teachers work collaboratively with teams of education and mental health professionals to provide alternative education services to students who have struggled with behavior in their traditional public schools.
