    Transitional Family Services (TFS), a subsidiary of Pathways, began providing services to Georgia's children in 1993 and today offers a range of family preservation services. TFS currently holds contracts with 40 counties in Central and Northern Georgia. TFS contracts with Medicaid to provide a full continuum of counseling services for children, adolescents and adults with a mental illness or substance related disorder to include Individual and Family Therapy, Intensive Family Intervention (IFI), Psychological Testing, Psychiatric Diagnostic Evaluation and Medication Management.

    SUMMARY

    The Clinical Supervisor, under the supervision of the Clinical Director ensures care provided to clients and families is done in a caring, competent, and responsible manner by performing the following duties: providing ongoing supervision to all team members according to the specifications on the supervision form; completing intake, clinical diagnosing, and assessments for new clients; seeking ways to improve quality of care; ensuring the clinical integrity of the program through work done by therapeutic staff; participating in client-related meetings, as needed; supervising and maintaining up-to-date clinical documentation; ensuring efficient use of staff time and work schedules; provides clinical back-up coverage; participating in PQI activities in a timely manner. Additionally, this position is responsible for assisting with the following duties, as assigned by the Regional Director and Clinical Director: evaluating referral packets of new clients; ensuring the clinical quality of the therapeutic programs as required by all applicable standards and policies; assisting with the training of program staff by utilizing TFS training, outside sources, new training updates, and issues identified in PQI activities; coordinates assignment of referrals that come into the office; and other duties as assigned.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Ensure the Initial interaction with new behavioral health clients, including completion of intake legal documents is handled properly by the Intake team

    Ensures all team members receive weekly or monthly supervision in accordance with supervision requirements, including keeping supervision up-to-date (documented).

    Communicate with clients to assess for crisis needs if they arise.

    Provide family support services to clients assigned to their caseload who struggle with a severe and persistent mental illness, or emotional disturbance who are actively involved in mental health treatment.

    Ensures all team members are seeing clients and completing required paperwork in a timely manner.

    Responsible for providing oversight and direction for the training, and ongoing assessment of staff, to assure the retention of a competent and adequate work force.

    Model ethical leadership. Monitor ethical issues and help develop and implement policies to maintain regulatory compliance and assure that processes follow the highest ethical standard for our clients.

    Maintain and ensures HIPAA, ethical standards and professional boundaries with all staff and clients

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Direct Supervision of Therapist and or Family Development Specialists. Assures the completion of supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws, including interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

    TRAVEL

    May require local travel up to 25% utilizing a personal vehicle which must maintain insurance coverage with a liability rate of 100,000/300,000.

    REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

    Master’s degree in a Human Services discipline.

    Must be 3 years post licensure and eligible for Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor (CPCS) in the State of Georgia.

    PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    5 years related experience and/or training.

    Knowledge of working with the severely and chronically or severely mentally ill population preferred

    Previous clinical supervisory experience is preferred

    Prefer community clinic or residential treatment facility experience and some supervisory or teaching experience

    CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

    Active State of Georgia License in Social Work, Psychology, Professional Counseling, and/or Marriage and Family Therapist, required.

    ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS

    Must have excellent phone manner, good arithmetic skills and excellent spelling, grammar and punctuation skills.

    Possess organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize multi tasks, and be flexible.

    Must have the ability to orient, train and direct the work of other non-exempt staff.

    Advanced level PC skills required.

    Requires strong clinical skills and communication skills, both verbal and written

    Good organizational skills, able to communicate effectively and able to work flexible hours

    Intermediate level PC skills required

    May require outside normal business hours’ schedule, on call coverage and holiday work hours.
