Transmission Builder Responsibilities:

Diagnose transmission problems

Rebuild transmissions

Experience with automatic and manual transmissions for domestic and import vehicles (both early and late model)

Maintain equipment and tools related to the job function.

Keep track of the number system and inventory of units

Compile a daily record of units built and submit to the Manager at the end of each month

Report all out-of-stock items to the Center Manager

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED

Minimum five years of transmission rebuilding experience

Have a quality set of tools

Punctuality

Ability to work with minimal supervision

Ability to multi-task

Able to give instructions

Capable of assuming responsibility

Excellent verbal communication skills

Strong organizational skills
