  • Responsibilities

    Manifest Solutions is currently seeking a Transmission Construction Planner for an onsite position in New Albany, OH.

    • Engage and work directly with project stakeholders to develop capital project outage plans that include facility outage reservations.
    • Utilize and/or develop an in-depth level of technical knowledge in Transmission/Distribution Operations, Station/T-Line/Protection & Control Engineering, Project Management/Project Scheduling, and Construction Management.
    • Ensure that ALL Outage Plans are created with safety, efficiency, and economics in mind.
    • Review Capital Project schedules to ensure outage dates are current in accordance with the Outage Plan.
    • Facilitate resolution of outage reservation coordination conflicts and identify and implement alternative solutions.
    • Maintain communications between Transmission and Distribution Operations relating to Outage Plans, specifically those that require mobile unit installations and radial conditions that will or may affect Transmission and Distribution Operations.
    • Manage outage plans for multiple capital projects simultaneously.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Construction Management, Business, or related field and 6 years related experience; OR, Associate's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Construction Management, Business, or related field and 8 years related experience; OR, High school diploma or GED equivalent and 10 years related experience.
    • Related experience MUST be in construction management, transmission engineering, transmission operations, distribution operations
    • Ability to read and interpret one-line station diagrams and transmission line switching diagrams is required.
    • MUST have basic understanding of the bulk electric system from a physical and or topographical perspective collaboration with stakeholder
    • Capacity to lead in understanding, developing, and transmitting complex outage reservation communications to project stakeholders.
    • Must have strong computer skills and apply skills to provide business-specific reports.
